Jockey Michael Cahill has praised the class of Trubia after the horse continued on his winning ways in the Become A BRC Member Class 6 plate over 1350m at Doomben yesterday.

The Michael Lakey-trained four-year-old entire was sent out a solid $2.80 favourite to claim his fourth win in a row and also his third metropolitan win in a row.

With regular jockey Brad Stewart suspend, Cahill landed Trubia into a perfect mid field position and after making the turn a little awkwardly Trubia unleashed his enormous turn of foot to power over the top and score by a long neck on the Tony Gollan-trained mare Sheiswhatsheis, with Skip Town a further length away in third.

Trubia has been placed brilliantly by Michael Lakey and now boasts an impressive record of eleven starts for five wins and a further four placings, with Lakey suggesting the horse has done a great job to win four in a row and he will consider giving him a short break now.
